Rienk is a pharmaceutical physician with three decades of experience in infectious disease global drug development, with a focus on drug development strategy and operational excellence. Rienk has held leadership roles in clinical pharmacology, early and late stage clinical development, business development and medical affairs in large pharmaceutical companies including Lilly, GSK, AZ and Pfizer, and he was the Chief Medical Officer or Chief Development Officer in start-up to midsized companies such as Basilea, Pharming and Allecra. Rienk now leads the team of Infectious Diseases consultants at TranScrip, a specialty consulting company. In these roles Rienk has managed and progressed portfolios of antibiotics, antivirals and antifungal assets.
